Holmatro® 4000 Series Rescue Tools Features
The Holmatro® 4000 Series – holds a number of benefits that elevate Holmatro® rescue tools to the next level in terms of user-friendliness, performance and working speed. Of course,
CORE Technology™ is a standard feature on the 4000 Series, with traditional twin line hoses also available.
In addition, Holmatro® introduces three new patent pending features:
Carry handles with integrated LED lighting
Standard on all Holmatro 4000 Series cutters, combi-tools, and spreaders, these bright LED's prevent you from ever working in your own shadow again. Whether at night or during the daytime when bright sunshine can cause dark shaded areas, the integrated LED’s provide illumination where it's needed most. Even when scene lighting is absent, these bright lights enable you to work for about 6 continuous hours on the single AA battery.
i-Bolt Technology: New central bolt construction
Standard on all 4000 Series cutters and combi-tools, the integrated i-Bolt construction is characterized by its sleek, low profile design that allows the bolt to be recessed into the blade holders.
- The low profile i-Bolt design provides better access in narrow spaces.

- This innovative, design is also more efficient and uses less torque. Instead of compressing the blades between the softer aluminum blade holders and steel shims, the i-Bolt squeezes directly on the blades, resulting in less blade separation and a more efficient cutting process.
- The i-Bolt and blade holders are protected by a stainless steel cover, helping to protect them during the extrication process.

- Compared to conventional nuts and bolts, the i-Bolt provides improved performance with reduced size and weight.
Speed Valve that accelerates tool speeds
Standard on all Holmatro® 4000 Series spreaders and rams, the innovative, patent pending “speed valve” allows spreaders to open up to 65% faster and rams open up to 35% faster. This speed valve automatically increases the opening speed of the tool, allowing for faster and more efficient tool placement, thus shortening the extrication process.
Built into the tool, not the power unit, this technology will work with your existing Holmatro® power unit, and does not affect the speed or operation of other tools running on the same power unit.

When the tool meets resistance and pressure builds to 2,178 psi (150 bar), the valve automatically switches the tool back to 'normal' speed.
Of course with the precision control of Holmatro's proportional control valve, the rescuer always has the ability to feather the control handle for slow, smooth, controlled movements whenever necessary.
