Before purchasing:
Before you can use a web-reset code you must have already completed the following steps:

1. Previously installed your Sixth Edition (Version 2.0 Software).
2. Registered your software at: http://www.holmatro-usa.com/guide_registration.htm
3. Received and entered the license code you received via our response e-mail.

   Important: A web-reset code resets an existing registration.  If you have not registered, the reset code will not work until a valid registration has been entered.

Purchasing a web-reset code

Only after you have completed the above steps can you continue with the process of purchasing and installing an annual subscription web-reset code...

1. Establish an internet connection on the computer to be updated.  Accessing web updates is completely dependant on the computer being updated having access to the internet.  Without internet access this update process can not be completed.
2. If you haven’t already done so, click the update button. 
   
   The first time you click the update button, you will see the following dialogue box. 
   This box is displayed once ever.  If another user already attempted this update, you will NOT see this box.

This prompts the user to go to our website to purchase a reset code.
Click OK and this dialogue box will close.

If you have not already purchased your code, you may purchase an annual reset code now.

AFTER your purchase...

3. After purchasing the web-reset code, launch the Rescuer's Guide software and click the update button one more time. 
   You will see the following reset prompt:

Be ready to supply your web-reset code, then click Yes to proceed.

 

4. Next you will be prompted to enter (or copy & paste) the reset code "exactly as provided"

Important Note:  The code is so long that our shopping cart splits it in two parts, so you cannot enter it "exactly as provided."
You must join the two parts of your code to make one code.

Example : 
Your code was supplied in two parts  like the one below:

Part 1:  3D2224632708581D5743-44514F5542085b55554B-
Part 2:  455B525543465956504A-4D5C58534441111D2D32-313A69

Join both parts including all characters, even the hyphens, but do not include the tags Part1: or Part 2.

Once joined, the resulting code should look like this:

3D2224632708581D5743-44514F5542085b55554B-455B525543465956504A-4D5C58534441111D2D32-313A69

However, it is okay if the code wraps within the dialogue box like this:

  DO NOT include the "Part 1": & "Part 2": tags! 

After correctly entering both parts of your code, Click OK to proceed.

5. You will receive a confirmation indicating the activation was successful.  Click OK again.
6. Click the update button one last time and the software access the update site, recognize that your system requires updating, then begin to download and install all updates, including all of the 2008 updates, plus the first release of 2009 vehicles.  Depending on your internet connection speed this download could take a long time, so please be patient.

           
        Notes:
            With the web-update code, registered users will be able to obtain all of the 2009 updates.
            Users will not be prompted to renew again until the 2010 vehicle data is released in December of 2009.
